Skyward Sword Meme

Description

So, I did the Skyward Sword meme I saw around. The main inspiration was my weird take on Fi. The blank meme is here:

[link]

1. My guy likes to joke about how much I love to torture the guy. I'm the kind of person who will throw him into a Game Over just to see what a particular Game Over animation is like. Also, some parts of the game I just suck at for a while until I get the hang of them. At least "My Link" is intelligent. When my guy plays, he plays "LinkBob the Amazing Yokel" - with voices and everything. XD

2. Double-Clawshots were a great bring-over from Twilight Princess. I find ways to multipurpose them, too.

3. I was originally going to draw Link on a wobbly crust in a lava-flow, but then I remembered how many times I lost to the Imprisoned on the third go-round. I literally thought that, too - being on its head made me think of the Colossi and riding them trying to hit their weak points. I think Ninendo was inspired by that game. (A stamina gauge plays a huge role in it, too). It is a VERY good game.

4. Blame it on my childhood spent in Arizona, but I loved everything about the Lanayru Desert.

5. "Master and Servant" is available on my fanfiction dot net account and can also be found at North Castle. It's buried, since I wrote it back in 2008, if I'm not mistaken. I almost feel like I unintentionally predicted something writing that story. I know I'm not the only/first to to write "Spirit of the Master Sword" fics, but I did make my sword-spirit female and something of an encouragement to a weary Link. She had her taste for blood, though - as I figured such a taste made sense for the soul of a weapon. Fi's personality makes sense to me, too - cold, computer-ish, analyticial - she can kill because she doesn't have any *emotional* thoughts on the matter of killing, no more than that Word paperclip can really "judge" you for your bad grammar...

6. I disclaim this by saying that I'm not a homophobe - and I know this because I *used* to be one. That said, I never got into the "yaoi" side of fandom. Okay, so I've read a Link x Pipit fanfic or two that I liked (based on compatable personalities), it's just that it seems like almost every time I try to give yaoi a chance I run into *fanfic wise* - stories that take all of the worst cliches of bad het fic and crank them to 11 and with art... well, sometimes it's worse. At first, Ghirahim really struck me as a refugee from some bad fanfic or "The Nintendo-guys have been reading smutty doujinshi, haven't they?" He just seems like this utter sterotype. Still, he does have some of the best lines in the game and he kind of reminds me of Legato Bluesummers from Trigun.

7. This answer is given because I couldn't just say "Theyr'e all a mix of awesome and frustrating." That said, I HATE the Beamos in this game. They killed me so many times.

8. There are so many, but I love characters that are given a focus of character development. I love Colin in Twilight Princess (wimp to hero!) and I love Groose in Skyward Sword (bully to help/hero). His pride was broken and then he was remade out of it. I *love* such themes.

9. I actually *refused to save* the first time I beat the game because I *had to go back and finish the crystal quest because I wanted to see Batreaux achive his dream of becoming a human sooo bad!* If I could have made Skyloft accept him as a monster, I would have.

10. The idea of eating bugs is bad enough (I could choke down an enhanced poition if I were really Link if I remembered the mantra "What Would Andrew Zimmern Do?") - but the dung beetles? With the balls of poo? And what kind of poo is it? Makes me wonder if Heart ++ potion tastes like civet-coffee...

11. My favorite boss of the game - very poorly drawn. I got really lazy at the end of the meme.

12. I think I enjoyed this game enough that it may just have knocked Twilight Princess down to second-place in my ranking of Zelda-series games. The best thing I loved about it was the motion controls. This game felt very intuitive. I'm still waiting for someone to invent Star Trek's holosuite to have a truly immersive experience, though.

I just read your fanfic and I am impressed! Aside from personality and slight differentiations in looks, your psychic! I wander if Nintendo saw your fic and polished your sprit up to make Fi...
