Description
Night bleeds into the day.
A female goat skull given to be by Blender / 23Blenders. I forget what the animal's name was, but she was a named and loved animal. She also had an unfortunate happening in her dehorning, leaving her with a protruding bone-scur / scar that she had all of her life and beyond. I wished to accentuate that broken-spur and so I made it into another dimension bleeding over into sky-scape, accompanied by further bleeding-vortexes of starry night.
Acrylic on bone with pen. The feather decoration is form store-bought pheasant feathers. I strung and tied them together. They are bound tightly by many loops of knotted tiny thread - the first time I made a hanger-piece quite like that.
(Note: I LOATHE the auto-categories and hashtags on this site. I think DA should get rid of them. I don't need the "help" they offer - which, more often than not puts things in categories I do not want them to be in. Gargh)!

Her name was Aleece, and the scur is simply an incomplete dehorning. Whoever did it didn't get all the horn growing tissue, so she would constantly grow a small, deformed bit of horn.
She was a twin, the other goat's name is Alice.
